Terry Avenue Building

Seattle, WA

Historic brick façade assessment and repair.

The Terry Avenue Building (TAB) was originally designed and constructed in 1915 as warehouse space. The building was purposefully retrofitted in 2010 for restaurant/tavern space and included seismic upgrades, exterior restoration, energy code upgrades, and the addition of new windows and doors.

In 2020, Evolution was retained by Amazon to perform a condition assessment of the façade. It was determined that general maintenance of the building was required. The work consisted of repointing all mortar, along with the cleaning and sealing of the brick components. Evolution’s scope of services included, but was not limited to, damaged brick replacement and repair, as well as building maintenance of the historical painted signage.
