Our work consists of three major stages: intensive investigation and documentation, designing custom solutions and details, and onsite observation and project management of repairs.

Overview

Our company focuses on building envelope restoration, renovation, consulting, and project management on multifamily, Class A office, medical facilities, hotels, and more. Our work consists of three major stages: intensive investigation and documentation, designing custom solutions and details, and onsite observation and project management of repairs.

Evolution Architecture’s holistic approach enables us to develop the best solutions to problems of any size. We work with some of the largest commercial and residential property management companies, building engineering teams, and property asset groups in Washington, including Columbia Center, Smith Tower, Two Union Square, T-Mobile Headquarters, and the Bellevue Collection.

This role focuses on multi-family re-clad/renovation work with some opportunity for commercial renovation/envelope work.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of construction documents for cost estimating, permitting, and construction.
  • Perform field observations to document existing conditions for site specific repair details
  • Field measurement for as-built plan preparation
  • Prepare façade design and color studies (Revit, Sketchup, Photoshop, or a combination)
  • Attend client meetings and assist with client communication, consultant coordination, and overall project organization and scheduling

Qualifications

  • Building envelope and detailing experience (siding, roofing, weather resistive barriers, flashings, waterproofing, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Minimum 3-6 years of professional experience in architecture
  • Construction administration experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Permitting experience with local jurisdictions a plus
  • Interest or experience in façade design a plus

This role focuses on multi-family re-clad/renovation work with some opportunity for commercial renovation/envelope work.

Responsibilities

• Capable to model existing buildings in Autodesk Revit using existing documentation and field observations.

• Assist in the preparation of construction documents for cost estimating, permitting, and construction.

• Assist in field observations to document existing conditions for site specific repair details

• Assist in field measurement for as-built plan preparation

• Prepare presentations for façade design and color studies (Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat or a combination)

• Assist with consultant coordination, and support project organization.

Qualifications

• Desire and ability to learn on exterior building envelopes design and detailing (siding, roofing, weather resistive barriers, flashings, waterproofing, etc.)

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Ability to work independently and as a team member

• Recent graduate at a NAAB accredited university is preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Interest in building permitting with local jurisdictions

• Interest in building long term expertise in envelope façade design restoration
